The Williamsburg HomeTown Chamber was proud to present the December Image Award to

David and Tammy Casselman owners of the Casselshack Restaurant in Kingstree. The Casselmans have a long history in food service with David working at the age of 13 in restaurants in Murrells Inlet and Tammy’s family running the Surfside Pier for 15 years. Tammy said that restaurant life is hard but when it gets in your blood it’s difficult to stop. However, the Casselmans did suspend their food service for about three years after running the Seafood Shack in Andrews and later in Hemingway for 20 years. After a three-year hiatus the couple opened the Casselshack at 215 Thurgood Marshall Blvd. in Kingstree in 2010. Since opening the local restaurant the Casselmans have added an additional dining room and front porch for out door dining. Plans are to enclose the porch later

for a bar. The restaurant offers good service, a great staff and features seafood, chicken, sandwiches and salads. Tammy said even though their specialty is seafood, they serve a “delectable” Prime Rib. She added that the best seafood seller continues to be the bite size shrimp dinner. Mrs. Casselman reported that business remains steady and that she already has several Christmas Parties planned during December. Casselshack is open Monday through Friday, 11 am until 9 pm; Saturday 4:00 until 9:00 pm. Food can be eaten in or taken out. Call 355-3663 for takeout orders

The Williamsburg HomeTown Chamber and Stephen Truluck with State Farm Insurance of Hemingway have partnered to offer chamber information and communication to the people of Hemingway. A variety of brochures, county maps, and Chamber information may be obtained from the office at 401 N. Main Street in Hemingway.
